Hi, is there a place that serves sea food? I´m a huge fan of that. Which is the best? Thanks!

most all restaurants serve seafood... just don't eat the grouper...it should be on the endangered list... It Rains Fishes does really good and so does Calabas at Divi..the wahoo at both places is divine :) and so is the rainbow runner

Seafood on a Caribbean island? There are more restaurants serving than I can count.
For local I'd recommend Mi Banana, Antriol Catering or El Fogone Latino.
Check out It Rains Fishes (north side of town) & also Plazita Limena (south side of town).
Really you can't go wrong with seafood. Just please DON'T order any grouper.

The grouper population around the island has been severely damaged from the local fishing...Large groupers are not real common around the island anymore......

Wil's grill and Paradise Moon always have excellent seafood specials regularly.

Also avoid ordering Conch, Baracuda, Lobster or any reef fish as the are also under pressure. Deep water migrating species are more PC. If you don't order the endangered ones, the eateries will not pout them on the menu..

iI didn't realize that Barracuda was endangered there. It is avoided in many places because of the ciguatera, but I have always enjoyed it on Bonaire. I guess the offshore fish are the only ones you should really order.

The queen conch is internationally protected..I would assume any conch that was available on the island would be farm raised.....

Additionally, I was not aware that barracuda was endangered on the island....Is there information regarding barracuda being endangered posted somewhere?

Thanks for the info...

+1 for Plazita Limena. Their seafood paella is really, really delicious. And the portion is so large you have enough for dinner and lunch the next day. Amazing.

Barracuda is a reef fish and we are trying to protect ALL of them. So far there is no prohibition to catching them..but they the are all under pressure from overfishing..
