A tip for you all. If you go to Bonaire you have to try Cozzoli's in the harbourside shoppingmall.
The breakfast there is great and the pizza's are sensational. If you don't have tried the homemade applepie you visit to bonaire is not complete.

This sounds like a great place to try when we are on the island the last of June. I love homemade apple pie, especially when someone else is doing the making.

But I have to ask, What makes a hamburger 'Dutch style'?

Maybe Gouda Cheese? Perhaps Marielouise will provide the answer or better yet, I should try one for lunch.

oke I will try to explain .

Our hamburgers have more flavour. And they are thicker. We have a speciale recipe from lady in Holland . She has a Shop where you can get very nice subs. And it's so busy over there. It's in Groningen and the name of her shop is Amsterdams broodjeshuis. Her hamburgers are famous. So we asked her if we can have the recipe. She said',,YES"only if you don't make them in Groningen . So now we are making them in Bonaire.
My husband makes them with herbs from holland. And he's Dutch. So if you combine this all Husband Dutch, recipe from Holland and herbs from Holland. That makes a Hamburger Dutch Style.

We in Holland like to eat our hamburger with a lot of mayonaise and ketchup and onions.

I hope that this will explain something.
And if you have more questions feel free to ask.

Thanks for the reply, Marielouise.

We are looking forward to trying your 'Hamburger
Dutch style' and meeting you and 'all husband Dutch' the last week of June.

Keep that apple pie receipe close at hand, also.

Marlene
