Hi,
I'm heading to Bonaire in a couple of days for my honeymoon. I was looking through the board for a nice romantic place for dinner. Harbour Village was reccommended repeatedly. However, I now just ran into a comment saying it had closed down. However it still is listed on infobonaire, just under Captain Wook's.

So if it is open, does anyone know if they will still do the dinner on the beach thing?

Thanks,

Darryl

I think Richards and Lighthouse are romantic...Also Kon Tiki is a nice place with views of windy Lac Bay...Capriccios has booths inside..very romantic too..

Capriccios is definately on my list of places to go to. And I have EXTREMELY high expectations of it after the reviews it got on this board :)

That being said, my wife would absolutely love the beach dining thing.

Harbour Village has just reopened. I dont think they are offering full service as yet but I imagine it will be back in swing before too long.

Darryl, the last time I contacted Harbour Village, they were taking reservations again.

Here's some contacts for you:

E-mail: reservations@harbourvillage.com

E-mail: compadres@bonaire-travelguide.com

Phone: 717 - 7500
Toll-Free Phone: 1-800-424-0004

Not sure which one is best, but you might get an answer to your questions from one of them.

ps: Hugh and I regularly have dinner at Compadres, so even if there's no beach thing going, it's still worth a visit.

Plaza Resort might also be able to offer an "on the beach" dinner for two. http://www.plazaresortbonaire.com

Richards Sea Coast dining is excellent! We ate there two night in a row and they were both top notch dinners. I don't want to be negative but I do want to be honest, we were very disappointed in Cappricio's. The servings were small and the quality wasn't what we expected after all the rave we had read. I had a dish with crab in it, at least it was supposed to have it in it but I could only find just few small pieces. Maybe we were just there on a bad night? We loved It Rains Fishes and Blue Moon, thanks for recommending them to us Jake. We also ate at Bananna Tree in the Plaza are last night because we were without car and it was very reasonable and excellent. Chibi Chibi was also very good. Zeezicht down town made my husband deathly ill. We loved our trip and are planning a return.

We fell in love with Croccatino's...don't hear much about it here, but it was excellent Italian...possibly Northern Italian cuisine and tasty is not the word for the spread they put out for us. CArole
