Can I buy wine on the island? Since it is the Caribean I am guessing the taxes are lower-so perhaps it is better to purchase the alcohol on the islands? What about liquer stores for the evening toddy?

From the info I've gotten from Jake, both Cultimara and the Liquortique (and other liquor stores) are well stocked unless you are very specific in what you want. For instance we have some tequila snobs in our group so are bringing down our own. I probably won't be able to find the wine I normally drink (Hogue Chenin Blanc from the Pacific N.W.) but good wine will do me.

Good website - I just visited to see their stock and printed off their white wine list. Always a challenge to find a wine that is similar to one you are used to drinking.
