Not much appears to be said about the Yacht Club Restaurant. It was recommended to me by a friend on Bonaire. Tonight I went with my daughter and son in law. What a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant is quite small so you have to book in advance. It is a lovely setting, owned and run by Rick and Kim. Rick does the cooking and Kim is up front, presenting a very warm, friend welcome and attentive service throughout the evening. We selected three different dishes from the menu so we could compare them. They were all delicious and extremely well presented. My daughter commented that it was the nicest meal she had had for a very long time. Very enjoyable and highly recommended. Thank you Rick and Kim. I wish you continued success.

Trevor, what type of food do they serve?

Kim and Rick change the menu every three months or so. They normally have a selection of fish, meat, poultry, etc. My last dinner there, I had a duck breast in a cranberry red wine reduction sauce served with pumpkin risotto and baby asparagus.

We missed it last two trips even though our DM suggested it was THE place to go! You do have to make reservations in advance (days usually) because it is small and becoming well known. :)

I saw a sign in front of YachtClub Restaurant that they are closed until June 1st--due to a broken leg!

I guess that is what happens when you go to Aruba ;-)!!

We were staying at the Yachtclub Apartments and Rick and Kim took a vacation April 18-25 (to Aruba) so the restaurant was closed for dinner that week.

Sorry to hear of their problems. It might still be open for breakfast (it was while Rick and Kim were off island).

Bea

Hi All,

I just wanted to let everyone know that Kim and Rick are back and have a great new menu, too. Rick's doing fine on his broken ankle (I'm rather jealous, as I did not mend so quickly when I broke mine), and he has not lost his magic touch. I just recently enjoyed a stuffed portobello mushroom entree at Yachtclub Restaurant. Be sure to book well in advance, they are normally booked up at least three days in advance.

Thanks, Susan, Glad to hear Rick is back. Will most definitely "try" and get a reservation this August! :)
