Having just returned I wanted to make a special note of our visits to Kon Tiki, about 8 years after the last time we ate there. The food is still outstanding (did not get there for dinner but had two lunches) and the scenery and breeze were perfect. They have vegetarian options and the Philly steak sandwich was tender and full of flavor and also the Dutch Kibbling (sp?), as recommended by a poster, was crunchy and went down easily with a Bright and some fries.

We just missed a fight to the death between two iguanas over a female. My 4 year old was highly disappointed, but he did get to 'pet' the victor on the tail.

Eight thumbs up - we will make it to dinner next year.

One of our top lunch spots, the service, view and food have never disappointed - I can not agree more on the Dutch Kibbling with a few Brite's. Thanks for taking me back if only for a moment....

Patrick

Great spot. We stopped there last year on our first trip to Bonaire. Enjoyed the food and location. We are heading back to Bonaire this April and it is on our list of must places to return.

Pat..It's on the road right before the turnoff to the wind surf place at Lac Bay. It's on the road to Cai.
Kon Tiki is where a lot of the windsurfers stay.
Next time I go i will have to try this "Dutch Kibbling" whatever that is??

Hi Vince
I had no idea what that was until the question was posed earlier... it's a Dutch version of fish and chips... the fish is fried in the shape of what I can only describe as an oversized tater tot... and you get like 6 on the plate with your fries. Mmmm. It was very good.

SWEET!! Fish croquettes!! On my list (I think I need a bigger notebook)
Do they have the "freizeit saus" too - its a mustard mayo concoction for your fries...???
