Hi,

My husband and I are debating splurging and booking the Samur Thai dinner cruise. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with that. Thai food is a favorite of ours, and the description of the sail boat piqued our interest. The price is somewhat intimidating. I guess you're supposed to realize that you need to pay for the sailing, as well as the dinner. And, of course, there's the open bar, but we are more foodies than big drinkers, and anyway, unless we're willing to pay for a cab, at least one of us has to be able to drive us back to the Bellafonte. Anyone been on one of their cruises or spoken to anyone firsthand who has?

Thanks, Janet

I have not taken it but recommended it to many friends who have only positive things to say. The next cruise will be on Dec 26th. Bring me a doggie bag!!

I did not do the Thai dinner on the boat, but I can tell you that I did take the sundown tour and it was absolutely enjoyable. The family that runs it are from Switzerland and make the trip worth the effort alone. There were six in our group that went to the island and did the boat trip and all would recommend it.

Hope it helps...

Enjoy!

we just did a snorkel with Yvonne and Chris two days ago and they served the best lunch - simple, great tasting breads, cold cuts, cheeses, veggies and the best homemade peppers ever! Cudos to Yvonne on that recipe! And the rum runners were very tasty, too!

We had a great time with them after snorkeling with lively, engaging conversation ranging from local to international topics, family, travel, you name it. They are a great couple and are passionate about what they do. We will do the Samur again and again!

Best regards,
Craig & Laura
