I posted this in "Food and Wine" but thought this might be the better place.

After many trips to Bonaire we have managed to eat at many awesome places. I am wondering if someone can recommend some of the restaurants that are frequented by the locals on the island as opposed to the tourists and Dutch folks. If you stopped a true Bonairian on the street and asked him/her where a good restaurant was, what would they tell you?

Please, no one take offense to this question.

Andy, I made a small adjustment. All is well.

I think a local Antillean who dines out may recommend Rose Inn. I have had many a meals here and share the dining floor with many Antillean folks. Luigi's place Divi something in Antriol has many Antilleans for lunch. I have not been in 3 years. Antriol Catering in Antriol is a popular Antillean lunch spot I do enjoy.

Louis at Divi Divi will also make old favorite if
you let him know in advance. Now that Antriole
Catering is open at night, it is getting lots of business from visitors. Of course tons of locals love our KFC..airconditioned and open 7 days and nights!!

Definitely the Rose Inn in Rincon and also El Fogon Latino. Also Plazita Limena. All delicious!

Patricia .. i agree that all restaurants you mentioned are great ... but only the rose inn is "local' ... el fogon is a Colombian kitchen and plazita limena is Peruvian... you might want to try the lunch specials at cultimara ...great local food and ready to go .. a quick pickup lunch for divers ..
