We just got word from Sand Dollar that the new "Sand Dollar Terrace Restaurant & Sports Bar" has opened and wanted to share the news with our friends on the newsgroup. They have faxed us a menu and it's very complete. It's open from 7:30am to 10:30pm. Saturday night is Bar-B-Que night and Wednesday is an all you can eat pasta night, perfect for just after a night dive!

I do not know of them having an e-mail address but you might try calling the 800 Sand $ reservation number if you have questions. Also you could try e-mailing Sand$ in Bonaire and they could help you as well, or try us!! Have a great trip

The restaurant itself does not have an e mail address as yet, but Gary Weisureg, the owner does. Den Laman also does not. If anyone wants a copy of the new dining guide to Bonaire, just send me your mailing address and it will be posted this wed from the US.

Ate breakfast at the Sand Dollar Terrace the first morning they opened. We were the very first customers. The service was good and so was the food. Did some other meals too and had same good results. The Green Parrot super huge burgers are back!! Can't wait til next years trip. Could only be better if it was only on the water like Karl's.

I posted a fairly involved restaurant review of this place at Sand $ after we returned (just over a week ago :-{ ), and have to say we were content with both our dining experiences there, if not quite pleased. While not on the water - overlooks the swimming pool, not the sea - it was ridiculously convenient for us, as all we had to do was walk out our door, cross the little strip of parking area and the Sand $ road, go up to the pool area and there we were - all of a 1 minute stroll. And the shrimp would have been worth a much longer walk!

Sand Dollar Resturant was great. Compared with other resturants, it was less expensive and served larger portions. Gary and the staff were very friendly.

When my boyfriend saw this post, he was thinking about the "Green Parrot".. Our favourite restaurant on the island (well, was). Still, got the T-shirt, cocktail animals and photos.. Will have to check out this new place on our next trip..
