Cactus Blue is doing an outstanding early bird deal. There is a choice of 4 different entrees for $10 each. I had the chicken caesar and my husband had the ribs, both excellent. They also offer a "schooner" of beer (0.5L) for $8, so if you're a beer drinker, this is the place!

DiveWarm, I would be curious to know also if any sides are included with the entrees??? I would think not on the chicken caesar salad, but did the ribs come with anything? Just trying to figure out total costs if having to pay for sides as well.

Thanks, DiveWarm. I saw the Bonaire Insider article that mentioned the early bird special, but the Cactus Blue website doesn't tell what menu items are included. Do you remember what else was available for the special?

We eat at Cactus Blue several times during our visits. Our last visit in May we had Hagen's ribs (which are so yummy) and they were served (if memory serves me correctly) with at least a side of fries and I think a small serving of a type of coleslaw. It's been a while (several months & much too long) but that's what I remember. We certainly did not come away hungry.

Thanks Gail C., but since these are early bird specials and some time has gone by, I would like to know currently what the entrees for that come with.

The ribs came with some of the best fries we had on the island and cole slaw. The owner brought us a complimentary basket of spicy bread (yum) and chatted with us for awhile.

DiveWarm, Thanks for the information. I don't eat there, but know of some folks who do that wanted to know more details.

Curious, I was there at 530 on June 19th and no mention of "early bird" specials. I thought the food was very good but overpriced. $50 for a cheeseburger and two fish burgers and one soda.

Now that I am old and retired, the early bird specials sound good. Corinna, here I come. Do they have tapiocca pudding for dessert?
