We'll be arriving Thu Jun 25 on the Insel flight at 8:30 PM. What are the best options for getting something to eat that evening?
I think Pasa Bon Pizza might be open late? Other suggestions?

-Tom

Pasa Bon is indeed open Wednesday to Sunday until 11.00pm. I would suggest booking ahead as he can get pretty busy.

Call Joe on: 780 1111

If you just want to grab something quick, filling and cheap, most of the snacky bars will be open.

Tom, are you sure there's an 8pm CUR/BON flight? It's possible Insel has eliminated this flight, and has put you on the 10pm one instead-check back with them. I was on Insel last week; when I bought my ticket I was told there was no longer an 8pm flight, but I don't know if it was just for that date or day.

Ruth-
Many thanks, Ruth, for the alert! I checked the Insel Website and you were right - the flight 305 was now listed as leaving Curacao at 10 PM, and there was no 8 PM flight. I emailed Insel and received confirmation of the change.

So now we have a 3.5 hour layover in Curacao. Will any airport restaurants be open? Will we be able to keep within the transit fee and find any place to eat? Or will we need to stay in the transit area in the CUR airport?

-Tom

I brought my own food (purchased a Starbucks sandwich + California Pizza Kitchen salad in MIA) to travel. I carry a small insulated lunch-bag thingy-it kept things cool. The food selection in Curacao airport is limited; you'll need to stay in the transit hall. For $20 pp you can go into the lounge (across from gate 3) and graze on unlimited snacks + drinks; if you decide to do this, go soon as you get there, because they close at 9pm.

I think the Bonaire Grill truck is open late. Not sure til what time... He is located in the parking lot right by the stadium (at the intersection near Casablanca) We got food from him quite a few times around 10pm. He has ribs, chicken, and fries. His BBQ is great! and no truck food is NOT scary. He's got a nice clean white truck and he is always busy. Both times we were there, he had a line of locals waiting for their order. He even gave us his cel number so that we could order ahead next time. He is there every night at 7:30 except for Monday's when he's closed.

Many of the snacks are open late (I like the Grill truck mentioned)-it's just a question of knowing where they are, and if you feel like driving around at 11pm (Insel's flight lands at 10:30pm + luggage + car rental time...etc).
