I have an idea. It is great to use Giby's as the food is super. What about trying new local places? Maikey Snack near Sorobon is great. It can accommodate maybe 20?? Also Ubie (sp?) in Terra Cora has a GREAT place that can accommodate 30+. I think it is called Holladness or something. I can get the details if you would like.

Also, Josie mentions Antriol Catering..still need to find that one..anyone have good directions?

One last question, I buy my produce and fruit at the Venezuelan fruit stand or La Portugesa (Tera Cora) but how is the fruit stand also in Terra Cora? I know why they call it Terra Cora..the ground is sooo red.

Annie, Antriol Catering is now Bon Bini Terrace, and Jake/Linda/Michael can provide directions. Very nice food. Gibi's has a little more "ambiance", I think.

Maiky is great but only opened on weekends and I now wonder how long it would take to feed a crew. I have waited up to an hour or more for my meal when I was the only one there.Also their seats are limited....this weekend they were quick as I told them I had to go see someone off at the airport..but it is great. BTW, they were featured on the Air Jamaica in flight show..what a hoot..

Has anyone been to Luigi's??? Liberty by the movie is good..Cafeteria Selecta in Antriol has good saltfish and bread if u like that local food...

We will be on the Island August 7-14th would like to met up with some of the BT'ers. anywhere will be fine with us. I need to get up with Michael Gaynor so I can give him the New York Times...I picked up a soft sided cooler so no need for the cooler, thanks anyway! And we hope to get up with Bas so he can take us out on a dive. If everyone could post when they are going to be there that would help?

Just a warning to any newbies looking for Gibi's, the sign is not very well lit (we missed it when looking for the BT crew in mid-June). If you see a big crowd of people across the Chinese restaurant, you've found Gibi's!

Thanks Ida..I know Bas and Michael read here so they have prob. read your kind invitation. I cannot commit asthe art designer I am working with flies in from Holland that AM and I MUST meet with him before I leave the 12th so let's play it by ear...just know I will ALWAYS go out for dinner..the only thing is the BT dinners of 30+ are a bit long for my little one..but WHAT fun..Who else is in??

What about Bongos'Beach as Bas suggested a bit back...or....Caribean Court...near the turn by Oil slick....nice bar and couch and chair area..
And I might add a lovely Green wing Macaw..
