On island and tried this place for the first time, hubby had tried it last November when I was out with friends and told me it was the best fish he had that trip. So, this trip, he got me to go there and we were greeted right away, seated and we both ordered two fish dishes, both wahoo, but each one prepared with a different sauce. Hubby's had a red lobster sauce, asparagus, with a bit of kick to it, and mine was with a white wine, some cheeses and a bit milder than his. Both were served with perfectly cooked vegetables, carrots, brocolli, zucchinni and some other ones I have no idea, but were good. We bot had sides of fried plantations. Yummy! Each dinner was $20US, very reasonable. Been there twice this trip already, took his parents there and again, it was very good. Service was one of the best on island so far.

Also had great food here. Mixed seafood grill for 2, and another time brochette grill. Very good and reasonable.

I love Plazita Limena; it's one of my must-eat-at places every time I go to Bonaire! Their ceviche is awesome.

They are across the street from Warung Louise, just slightly more south.

they also have a daily Peruvian special..Last time I have a delicious yellow bean dish. It is a great spot to just to be able to sit and relax in the garden.

We were there 6 months ago & I had their cerviche which I don't normally order. It was delicious!

Their style of ceviche has corn, potato and lots of onions. I liked the fish. Tender and piquante...their Peruvian pumpkin and shrimp is delish. Service can be slow at times but is quite friendly.

Hi Debbie..Cerviche is any type of seafood fish/shrimp/scallops which is "cooked" not using heat but an acid based juice; lemon, lime, orange etc. (Any type of citric acid base to it). It usually has a spice component to it also like jalapeno peppers. I had it as an appetizer & it was delicious. Can't remember exactly what was in it, except it was very good!

It's on the main road in town by the shopping area. If you know where it turns into a one way street to go through the shopping area, at the beginning of that area, look to the right and you will find it. Sorry that I can't give better directions. Hopefully someone else will chime in. Please do try to find it. It is amazing!

I'm also a fan of Plazita Limena. The food is excellent, the portions generous and the people very friendly, and the price is right!

Thanks for the info. I took your advice on the Cerviche, I had scallop cerviche ( with 4 glasses of H20 :-), and mixed catch of the day grill for 2. The portions were big, with amazing flavors. Mussels, wahoo, shrimp heads on, scallops, with mixed vegetables, fried bananas and fries as a side.
Definitely a repeat stop. Thanks again.

Hi Deb..Well I'm sure then you & Greg are both looking forward to it's arrival! I believe the flight is completely booked.

We have company coming down in stages for our weeks 2 & 3 so I guess we'll be a fixture at the Flamingo Airport as well at 05:30. If your son recognizes me by my photo, tell him to introduce himself. :-)

I thought the packing would stop once we left all our dive gear and some clothes down there...wrong!

Well we ate there last evening. For an appetizer the mixed ceviche & cerveza (Bright) was delicious. Nina had the octopus & bacon salad together with both of us sharing the seafood mixed grill..excellent and the price was reasonable.

I ate there last week and loved it. The appetizer was terrific: a shrimp and potato salad over a big wedge of avocado. And we both got the wahoo for dinner. It was a fabulous dinner for our last night (*sniff*). Can't wait to go back! Counting down until December...

We ate there twice last week. The ceviche de pescado is still excellent. I had a fish dish for my main one night, and shrimp the next time. I could eat there all week! One of our group had the steak and said it was excellent. The portions are large, so you won't ever go hungry. Some of the guys in our group had enough leftovers for lunch the next day.
