We love Bonaire and we're flying in tonight primarily for the diving, the chilling, and the Amstel Bright...but my girlfriend believes that college football is a big part of the New Year season so we were wondering if there was anywhere around Kralendijk that might be showing some of the Bowl games...any guidance appreciated.

Hi Mike.

Try Lee's Bar which is on the site of what used to be The Swiss Chalet in Kralendijk.

He has satellite TV and screens all of the big sports games.

If you're really lucky, Lee will do an Elvis Presley song for you while he dances on the bar.
And he's GOOD!!!!!!!!

I have to tell you, Lee is probably one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Very accomodating to those who go into sports withdrawal while away from home.
During superbowl sunday last year, he invited us to bring our dinner to the bar, and he set up a table for us. What a great guy.

That is exactly our plan for Jan 17th. Dinner at Bobbejans and take it over to Lee's.
Aren't the simple things in life the best??????

I just wanted to thank you all for suggesting Lee's...he's totally nuts in a great kind of way..spent a lot of time there, including a very memorable, or not, New Year's Eve...this was definitely one of the highlights of our vacation, especially saying goodbye at 1am yesterday evening then seeing him outside with his "Island Mama" as we drove to the airport at 5am this morning. We will be coming back many times...and hope he doesn't ever set his projection clock to the right time.

Mike.

Glad that you enjoyed Lee's Bar. I really don't know where he gets his energy from!

Top man indeed....

Oh yeah...he has every song under the sun....once you get him going you can't stop..although he was tempted to curtail last night's festivities when some young girl mauled Meatloaf's "Pardise by the dashboard lights"

Youngish, blonde, think she works on the island, was with a young kid (curly hair who I think works at Karel's)...who looked horrified, or drunk, or both...it did not detract from a great night though
