A great way to have a dinner with friends is to have it catered. You can be inside or outside -- at your favorite dive site, in Washington Park, on your patio, watching sunset at Seru Largo, or poolside at Golden Reef. In fact, the person I recommend -- Giby -- prepares breakfast at The Golden Reef, and you could stop by there in the morning and talk your ideas over with him. I really like local food, and no one cooks it better than Giby, except maybe the old, old ladies on the island (and he would be the first to admit that). At a dinner he served recently, a woman told him his creole sauce was as good as her mother's, and we all knew that was high praise! Giby can prepare the feast at home in his kitchen, and/or barbecue on site, you can be creative and together you can make it exactly the way you like it. For me, this was a perfect way to celebrate with the people who made time on Bonaire so wonderful.

Gibi is one of the best chefs I have ever had the priviledge of eating with. Stayed at GRI in Aug of this year, the best breakfast I have had on Bonaire, he also had an evening meal at GRI that was to die for. Between him, his wife and his sister they can't be beat.
