I will be arriving in Bonaire in just a couple of weeks and was curious if Richard's survived the storm.

Richards survived, although he lost his pier and pier table. Had two great meals there in October, 1 week and 2 weeks after Omar (including sunset green flashes on both nights). He told us he is planning to rebuild both his pier and pier table, just not sure when they will be completed.

Thank you very much for your response. I can't wait to get there and get several goods meals at his place. He is such a great guy and I am so happy that he didn't lose more than just his pier and pier table.

I am a long-time lurker but first-time poster! I would like to thank everyone for all of the helpful information I have been reading for over three years. We have been to the island three times since 2006 and will be there in a couple of weeks for trip number four! Does anyone know if Richard's pier has been rebuilt?
