I was invited to dinner at Yacht Club. If you cherish a private quiet dining setting, low key and excellent food, run here, don't walk. The music is soft, the peepers sing a chorus during dinner..the chef owner and his wife will create a memorable dining experience. My pumpkin soup was the best I ever had. I had snapper croquets to die for...the wine glasses, dishes, tables..it's all very special. The only caution is mossies are out so spray well and wear long pants.

Wow, that's on my list for January. Are they open every day?

Ann, BTW, are you on BON while I'm there? Jan 24 - Feb 4 (we'll then be taking KLM to Quito for our Ecuador/Galapagos trip, so the BON portion of our trip is shorter than usual!).

It would be GREAT to connect if you're on island!!
Josie

Annie-
Where is it....the site of the former Mexican restaurant at the harbor? And Josie, if you don't mind sharing, how much was the KLM ticket from BON-Ecuador-BON?? Do you fly into Guayaquil?

Thanks-
Kate

It's the restaurant at the Yachtclub Apartments: http://www.yachtclubbonaire.com/
They are indeed closed on Mondays and they do BBQ at Sundays for only NAF 25!
We just stayed 2 weeks at the Yachtclub Apartments (which was also very good) and ate 5 times at the Yachtclub restaurant, excellent diner every time.
It's a small restaurant, but this makes it possible for them to serve quality meals at very reasonable prices.
BTW: They also serve breakfast (every day).
