Ron, where do you shop?? Very funny...I paid a few guilders for ice at Lisa Gas. There is an ice shop in Tera Cora, 2 guilders. Limes, hmm..a few guilders for a few..haa..I never ask. When I go to La Portuguesa, I order a bunch of fruit and pay 8-15 guilders tops. Cheap and delish.

Ann, where's La Portuguesa? I still pine for good produce on Bonaire. I know I'm spoiled, coming from California produce...

La Portugesa is on Nikoboko Zuid. For those who don't know the roads well, turn off J.A. Abraham Blvd (the airport road) onto Kaya Industria towards Lisa Gas. Continue past Lisa Gas and Bonaire Warehouse, then make a right turn at the stop sign onto Nikoboko Zuid (Nikiboko South). La Portugesa is about a kilometer or so south, on the right. Besides limes, they have great fruits (oranges, apples, etc, when they have them) and various vegetables.

What's wrong Ron?

Are people called Eugene on your vilification list along with Come on, you know better.

If you need to look that word up, you will find it under "V" in the dictionary. Ask a friend what a dictionary is.

Freddie.

You are right, it is not my place to remonstrate others regarding sexist, racist, homophobic or bigoted remarks. That is the job of the Moderators.

I am surprised that my tongue in cheek comment was deleted yet the blatantly homophobic comments made on another thread are still there.

End of...............

generally the cheapest prices on beer (and often for good wine) can be found in any ofthe chinese markets - for example Carib Supermarket. all these markets are generally located in the niki boko/tera cora area in the outskirts of playa where the locals generally do the majority of their shopping. sometimes cultimara and bigger stores have specials. the island supplier also usually has good overall prices.

Pietri, along with that great suggestion what about Progresso? When I had my raise the roof party I bought a few cases of Polar and it was the best price I could find.

Where's Progresso, if you please?

I gotta say, when I get myself to Bonaire, I just want to go dive....go to Cultimara, get what I need, get back in the water. If I lived there, I'd bargain shop more, but I'm too busy having fun(girls just want to have fun!) to do it on holiday....

I'm spoiled, I admit it....

Eugene..Really just 3 answers..
1. If you really need sea salt just pack some from home in your luggage
2. Drive south & you'll find all the sea salt you really need
3. I think some of the gift stores on the main street may sell it.
