I am building a Best of Bonaire Divers Guide and I am looking for everyone's favorites, "The Best Dishes on Bonaire"!

I will be tasting them out in March (*Except most of the pastas and spicy ones) I use to be the Las Vegas food critic for Cheesecake Factory's and several big chains. So send me your diver's best dishes input!

Yo Mo
I could have used you with the Panda Express Account!

After having to check 10-Pandas and eating so much yuck, I could not face tasting another oily, greasy noodle or orange chicken. I made them cook every order fresh and they still tasted so, so nasty!

Guy's and Girl's this is some great stuff!

I am saving everyone's favorites and putting them together. I see we are starting a trend.

Some of you are more adventurous with the Fish Pizzas. Me I am a Calzone guy (*Locally Metro Pizza) or Chicago Ono's with buttermilk dough.

I definitely will be checking out the French Onion soup at Bisto di Paris (*I got hooked on that eating in Paris, France).

Lover's ice cream and that Watermelon Juice at Buenos Aires and lots more.

If any of you are coming to Las Vegas let me know and I will send you a few fun places to eat!

Keep it coming!

Thanks again for your efforts!

**Great food is hard to find if you don't know where to look!

!!! A bad meal can be had anywhere, but who wants one on your once a year vacation!!!

The specific dish at La Guernica
that it particularly tasty, and
not found at nearly enough tapas
places, is their chicken livers,
sautéed with onions in a sherry
sauce, I believe.

I haven't seen the Molten Chocolate
Cake mentioned yet - I had it at Wil's,
but I think it's available at a few
places (if you're lucky).

And several have mentioned the Smoked
Marlin already, but it was different,
and even better, than I expected.
Thin, succulent morsels; like the
finest subtly-sweet smoked salmon.

In May on our first trip to Bonaire, we went to Bistro de Paris for the French Onion Soup. It was so wonderful that in August when we went back to Bonaire, of course we went back for more French Onion Soup. Boy, was there a change in the soup and it was not for the good. For one, the portion was about half, using even different bowls. There was barely any cheese and bread on the top. There was a herb in there that was not in there the first time we went. It was some sort of twig that was not good. We asked the manager if they had a new chef and had they changed the receipt. He swore nothing was changed. There is no way we would have gone back if the soup tasted like it did the 2nd time. That dish is what made that restaurant. Everyone talked about it. With the portion, that was a main dish. Sorry, but I won't be back.

Sorry to hear about your soup. When were you there? Fred, the head chef may have not been there as he was waiting the arrival of his new baby! I was there yesterday and while I did not have the soup, I watched it being served at another table and it looked huge, hot and loaded with cheese. When it is the same recipe it does not always mean it is the same result. I will bet you a bowl of soup, when you return it will be just as good as the first time. Don't write them off just yet...

This was definitely not the same soup as before. All 4 people at our table commented on it. You had to pull twigs of spices out of the bowl. That was not like that before.

Exactly! You said you were there in August..Fred was off during some of that time and that explains it, at least in my estimation. I do hope Patrice offered to make it up.
