Okay, I've never been there but must go based on what everyone is saying...I'm headed to Bonaire next Thursday and want to try it out. Can someone tell me where it is located? I do not know street names, just landmarks -- will be at Buddy's, so directions from that perspective would be great!

After you pass the downtown going north, it's the 2nd or 3rd street on your left. There is a sign.

Coming from Buddy's, go toward town, when you get to Annette's Bakery, park the truck in empty lot next to her building or across the street by the corner building that has a sign that says Bar-B-Que, Bobbe Jans, the place is on that little side street, there is a few parking spots on side street, but don't count on it, they fill up quick.

If your coming from the sea, look for the dingy with a Bobbejans sail.

Cecil, after all the years going to Bonaire, just last year was the first year I finally saw the Bobbejans dingy. Too cute!

Bobbyjan's is good but do not get your taste buds to excited. IMHO, I have had better. Looking for the best chef's on island, then your have to try Wil's, Mona Lisa's and La Luna.

I'm glad to hear somebody mention La Luna. We like it, and I don't hear it praised as often as some places.

I think Eric is sweet on the owner...

La Luna just re-open while we were on island last month, the new owners are Ring (SP) and Irene who used to run La Brasserie (SP) in the breezeway of the Remax building.

I agree with Ric. Okay food, good price if I recall, but the bottom of my list for the week. I'm not saying that I wouldn't go back, but there are a lot of other places I haven't tried yet. It was convenient having the leftovers for lunch the next day. It was rather slow for a take-away, but they were pretty jammed when I was there.

I ate there for the first time this last week. My favorite was the chicken satay but everything was outstanding and I will definitely be back.
