Does this place still exist and if so what is it like? I've read about it on the boards and drove past the huge sign everyday on our trip in November. We drove down that road for a way and never saw anything. I really can't imagine that a restaurant or food vendor would actually be that far in the middle of nowhere. Did we just not go far enough or is this a thing of the past?

Maiky Snack is definitely still in business as I just had lunch there the other day. And it's still just as good for local food.

If you turned off the main road onto the dirt road, perhaps you missed the second turn? It's just a few minutes once you've turned on the dirt road, but you do have to make another turn left.

Good luck finding it next time.

It is the first left on the dirt road after you have passed the Transvall Kunuku (look for the dice on the fence posts) If you pick up a new Dining Guide from the airport or your hotel/carental you will see a map in Maiky's ad.
