We ate twice at the Mona Lisa and had a wonderful experience both times. Food and service was great. We also went there several times after dinner to have their fantastic after dinner coffees. This a a favorite of ours.

Mona Lisa is a favorite of mine too. I love their Rack of Lamb or the special of the day, usually creative. The presentation is wonderful too. Friendly staff and a good place for my husband to wait while I do some shopping. We look for Jim's hat in the rafters. I believe they take all the hats down every so often to clean them and put them back up, so we always look for where they moved his to.Still remember the day he "contributed" it. Fun story!

Hats? I must have missed that thread. Do they collect hats from around the world? If so I'll have to pack an extra 9News hat to leave there!

Yes, look up next time in the bar.Years ago we stopped in for a drink with friends,Jim was "on the job" then and had one of his hats with the NYFD(nyc fire dept)emblem on it, one thing led to another and we ask the bartender if he would like it to hang it up,Jim's buddie Steve, a fellow fireman, contributed Jim's hat,not his own, we all laughed! and look for it whenever we return. The fellows who own Mona Lisa, I believe are the bartender and cook. Very nice guys!Great cooks too!

Just returned from a month's sojourn to our favorite place in the world, Bonaire. Best restaurants we've experienced in the Caribbean. Mona Lisa is a marvelous experience. Wonderful food and service. Friendly bar for a cocktail beforehand. Great meals at Capriccio, Croccantino, Beefeater (love their cabrito stoba), Richard's and It Rains Fishes. There's a new restaurant called Donna and Georgio's where they have excellent Italian food and again very friendly service (on Kaya Grandi past Croccantino's going north). Would highly recommend any of the above. There's also a Bonairean restaurant called "Bon Awa" on the road to Sorobon, but near town. They sell take-out and ice cream in the front and there's a courtyard in the back for dinner. The dorado, shrimp and chicken dinners were very good (and inexpensive). John and Carol
