Looking for recommendations for reservations for dinner on Christmas Eve. Won't be diving because of the flight back in the morning, so we thought we'd save up our appetites all week and dress up a bit (the long denim sundress as opposed to the short one). Anyone have a terrific favorite place to mention? An idea of atmosphere, menu and price would be helpful. Thanks!

I wonder if all the places are open on Christmas Eve? Many countries have the custon of observing and celebrating the evening of December 24 as opposed the the US custom of celebrating the 25th. Can one of our local firends tell us what is usual on Bonaire, and what can be expected from the point of view of the restaurants?

As for Donna's question, we have lots of favorite places. We have often choosen "Rendezvous" for special evenings. Continental menu...good (sometimes leisurely) service, I remember about $100 per couple with a modest bottle of wine, nicely formal in a white linen tablecloth way, quiet.
Dining in the garden at "Beefeater" is always nice, less formal; or "Richard's" for seafood, steak type of menu, open air porch looking over the water (romantic?).
You are sure get all kinds of different, good suggestions from everyone in this newsgroup. One of the secrets of Bonaire is that there are many great little restaurants.

The Beefeater Garden Restaurant will be open as normal - Monday to Saturday starting 4pm. We will add a Christmas Special to our diverse menu

I agree with Robert's choices for great food and atmospher. Add Capriccio's to the list.
One of the intimate "booths" are a favorite and the food is delicious.
