Their Eggs Benedict was to die for! I still remember them freshly whisking the hollandaise sauce as we anxiously awaited our breakfast.

Yes, very sad it is gone. They had the best breakfast on the island. :-(

We are (were) big penguin fans. We ate breakfast everyday they were open when we go. We are still friends with Ronata and Ton and we are still eating breakfast at the restaurant (Papagayo). Bea and Henk do a good job also. I am not going to compare dish for dish but we are still customers.

We were also sad to see that the Penguin was not open any longer. Made it a point to have breakfast there almost every morning on our last trip in 03. We'll be back in October and will give the new place a try.

They had the best grilled fish sandwich on the island. They must have put a pound of fish on each sandwich. I sure missed the place on my last vivit.

We were big fans of their fish sandwich as well. Last month we found a very yummy "replacement" at Patagonia at lunch. Lots of fish, cooked well on really nice ciabbata bread. Mmmmmmm.

Vince, I agree that their eggs benedict was delicious.

The Lost Penguin used to have THE most divine plate of nachos to be found............ordered it after the restaurant changed ownership and it was - sad - nothing but nacho chips with some splashes of melted cheese. No huge pile of chips, gobs of the right cheese melted perfectly with chopped onions and olives and jalapenos and stuff. Sob, sob.............
