Buddy Dive has taken a reservation for my husband and I on the night of our arrival as it is my husband's 35th birthday. As we have never been to Bonaire, I was wondering what people thought of this restaurant. We have an oceanfront table reserved and would love some of your wonderful opinions, good or bad. Thanks so much.

We will be having our Silver Wedding meal there, does that tell you enough? :-) The food is a bit more expensive than some other places but I think it is good value for money. The specials are usually worth a look at.

Actually, I just took a look at their menu, and being from snooty northwestern Connecticut, I have to say they are pretty much what you would pay around here at a normal everyday restaurant. Their menu sure does look tasty though. Now I really can't wait to get down there!

It is my most absolutely favorite restaurant on island! You will love it! :-)

snooty NW Connecticut!? Indeed, I assumed all of us nutmeggers were a bit snooty!! The Lion's den is a wonderful spot with great food and service as well as Old Speckeled Hen beer!

And don't forget that you can watch the sunset!

I was pleased with their beer selection which included Guinness and Old Speckled Hen. My wife prefers cider and they even had Strongbow on the menu.

Great. I told my husband I'm going to try real hard to see the 'green flash' while we are down there. So I figure, if I drink enough of the so named beverage while at our table, maybe I'll see one regardless of it's actual existence or not :-)

LOL....Cat :-) You're gonna make your own green flash :-) When will you be on island? You probably said but I can't remember.

We're arriving early Sept 9-16. I am drooling with excitement ( well, as I said, I did take a look at the Lion's Den's menu...yum)

I am new to BT and love the way the crosstalk brings back the memories and anticipation. Echo the sentiment: Kirk and Lion's Den are the best! Counting lunches, I've had as many meals there as days in Bonaire. The food and the sunsets never disappoint.

Lion's Den cheeseburger with bacon is the best!
