Hi Marilyne! Last time I was on Island (January) I had dinner there. It was great! Your dad is an absolutely wonderful person. I definitely plan on eating at his place during my next trip.

Your dad is ONE awesome host and chef! I haven't been to see him in a while but will do that soon!!!

Marilyne, we ate with Gibi last week. Great food and a great chef. Since it is low season he does not have a full house every Tuesday. He is also doing the Monday barbeque at GRI.

what is GRI? Is tuesday a special night for Gibi?

Hi Kathi! On Tuesdays at 6:30, Gibi hosts dinner at his place for any and all BTers on the island. The menu and costs vary, but always very tasty and priced reasonably. It is appreciated if you phone and let him know you will be there.

He makes the best Rum and Coke on the island!

I had the pleasure of seeing your dad again last monday....and your uncle Chavez (sp?). As always, his cooking was wonderful and the warm Bonaire welcome they extend was one of the highlights of my trip.

In addition to the BT tues night at Gibi's home, he also host a meal at Golden Reef Inn on Monday nights. They ask that you call ahead for either meal because he needs to know how many to plan for. You can call the number above for the tues night meal or call GRI for the monday night meal. I highly recommend them both, esp if you would like to try some local food. As you can tell, Gibi is well loved by the members of this board.
