Any suggestion on local places to eat (not not not resorts or American food) on Bonaire. On Grand Cayman we used to eat a Champion House all the time. Anything like this on Bonaire (conch stew, perhaps?)?

Maiky Snack is my favorite lunch place. On the road from town to Sorobon you turn left at the big (almost billboard) size sign that says Maiky Snack. After that follow the small signs on the dirtroad. They are open from 12-2PM. Try their goat stew!

RM,
We enjoyed the El Fogon Latino (Columbian, great Flan), Surinaamse Bar Restaurant (Roti Kip and Satay were very good), and Maiky Snack.
Your wallet will thank you!
All of them are on or just off the Sorobon Road that Bas mentioned

Antriol catering is my favorite snack place!
Not conch stew but goat stew! Try it, you'll like it. :-)

You all are staying pretty much on the beaten track! Try a few of the smaller places that line the byways in the neighborhoods. Each one is just a bit different! Op is Op on weekends for bbq, Ruebens on Kaya Mandolin for dominican, etc. etc.

for lunch, my favorites were the city cafe (in kralendijk) and the rose inn (in rincon). we ate at city cafe twice, and everything was really tasty.

also the little shaworma stand between salsa and the rib factory is excellent for a late night snack ...

There is a great Shwarma shop near Telbo adjacent to a small Chinese place. I can say it is clean and cheap.

Ann,
Can you give directions to the Shwarma shop; loved to eat them when in the middle east. Didn't know there was a place there to get them. How about pannekueken?
