No, not the stuff in the turkey! But, what would be required to go out to a couple of nice restaurants in the evening? Does anyone still require a jacket for the men?

Shoes are optional in lots of places, so jackets are not an issue...

We went to the Plaza one night for live music and dinner. We noticed (and ignored) a "dress code" sign as we walked in. We were wearing shirts and shoes, but nothing special. I say relax and use common sense. Don't waste suitcase space on anything dressy.

We stayed at the Plaza and didn't worry about it. This was an extremely casual island. Listen to the others, don't worry about "dressing up". It's an incredible place, enjoy!

The first year I visited Bonaire, I brought a TON of clothing, despite my travel agent's advice to pack lightly and very casually. I learned my lesson! Shorts, tee shirts, sandals, beach wear including a hat (of course!), and maybe a sundress or two will definitely be MORE than enough! And forget the curling iron and hot rollers, EVERYONE has "Bonaire hair"!

Carolyn is right, no need for alot of fancy clothes, but I find the "scrunchies",bobby pins and covered elastic bands a definite necessity for my shoulder length hair.A good leave-in conditioner is a good idea too.I don't even bother with the hair dryer anymore.
