A good friend informed me that it was closed and empty back in Oct.
Any info would be nice.

Thanks,

Jerry.

I had a nice dinner there a couple of weeks back Jerry and heard no rumors of it closing. Croccantino's is gone...:-(

Oh God, I hope not. They have always been a tradition for Kathi and I. We go do a double tanker, get back around 11:30, take a shower, get dressed, and spend a good part of the afternoon there. I always get the Belgian endive and shrimp, followed by the Osso Bucco with a good dose of their house wine. We follow it off with a couple of espressos and some Black Sambucca. Life is good on Bonaire.

Jim...Now THAT'S how to spend an afternoon!
Osso Bucco is my favorite! I just lament that back here in the states the veal shanks have gotten so expensive. I blame all the cooking shows on TV for this. They are going out & popularizing the cuts of meat that used to be lesser known by the public.

Vince, you are not that far from Manhatten. On 46th, between 8th and 9th, there is a place called Becco. Their Osoo Bucco is as good or better than Capriccio's. The son of Lydia, of Lydia's Italian Kitchen on TV, owns that one. It's her recipe.

They were on vacation in October, so closed then-that's all.

Thanks Jim and appreciate the tip on Becco. Have not been there, but I'm certainly familiar with her cooking shows and strongly suspect my wife Nina has Lydia beat on this dish.
