I usually don't write long trip reports like everyone so I thought I would mention some great meals while I'm still here on Bon. I am a TOTAL foodie and being from Los Angeles where we have such great restaurants I am a bit of a food snob!

Had a fantastic meal at Cactus Blue. I highly recommend the Crab Balls as an appetizer. I ordered the pork tenderloin as a main dish and it still tasted great a few days later cold out of the fridge! Annie loved the seared tuna which I tasted and I agree. Key lime pie was also delish!

I usually love Lion's Den, but had a not so great meal there. I've heard when Kirk the owner is not there, it can be that way, and he was not there that evening. Won't stop me from going back though, but next time I'm calling ahead to make sure he is there.

I tried Will's Grill for the first time and YUMM! Had the conch fritters for an appetizer and loved the sauce it came with. And ordered the ribs which is my fave food on the planet, and the sauce was to die for! Yes, I'm a saucy wench!

Went to opening night at the new Patagonia. And despite no menu yet, they offered fish, beef or chicken and I had the beef. Very tasty, although I have found Argentinian beef is not tender enough for me but it is for most. I'm used to filet mignon so I'm a bit spoiled. They were SO packed opening night but they were always so nice when they came to the table and they have the BEST fried potatoes on the island I think! Have to go back again before I leave. Lovely setting right on the water in the Harbour Village.

Swiss Chalet, Swiss Chalet, Swiss Chalet!!! Have to say it that many times because I want you all to try it on the island before she closes in March!! If you love fondue (geez, who doesn't?!)either cheese or oil or broth based,(we ordered all three!) Susie is the lady to go to on Bon. Was probably my favorite meal so far I think. And it's just so much fun to do with a group of people. I highly recommend you give it a try if you haven't already because they are moving on soon. I'm going again next week!

And of course I have to eat at Bobbejeans at least once every weekend. Ribs in a peanut satay sauce..what else can I say? I can say CHEAP! Basket of ribs and fries for about $8!! They also have great chicken satay and fish. Only open Fri-Sun for dinner and Sunday for lunch 12-2.

And one of my absolute faves on island..I guess I do have a few....is Bistro De Paris. The owner Patrice always greets me with the 3 kisses on both of my cheeks and then serves the most delectable French cuisine! Last night I had the onion soup appetizer and the duck confit..oh WOW! Cooked for over 3 hours and it just falls off the bone! In a lovely sauce with great potatoes and veggies. My friend Joann had the chicken breast with morels in a sauce that was so tasty. We topped that off by sharing his key lime pie (more like a cheesecake!) and his incredible chocolate mousse..best mousse I've ever had! His creme bruless..my favorite..is the best too. I keep asking him if he wants to get married, but he's already married...lucky girl!

Ok, still on island another 2 and a half weeks so many more restaurants to go!

Mercy, I've seen your profile, I don't think you'll have any trouble getting three kisses from any guy on the island.
Fred is the cook at Bistro de Paris, you might inquire as to his marital status.
I personally love the rack of lamb Fred makes.

Thanks for the report, Mercy. Joe and I will not make it to Swiss Chalet in time, unfortunately, but will check out the rest of the places, for sure. Some were not there two years ago and it should be fun "experimenting"....we are very "fond" of good restaurants, too! Will look forward to your next update. Carole

Patagonia is on my list for July. I already love the setting! Match that with the old Casablanca managerial skill and it has to be a winner!

Yikes, how did I forget to mention the Rosti Darlene?? It's kinda like hash browns, but even better!!

Jim..in the pic, that is my bud and fellow BT'er Darlene Ellis on the left in the tropical shirt and me on the right.

Make sure if you go to Swiss Chalet that you have at least 4 people to order two fondues. One fondue is charged for two people. Definitely one of the more expensive places to eat on Bon, but worth every penny!

Thank you for the clarification. You are still both beautiful. Annie sent me an email today about the 28th. Are you in?
