I ate there two and a half times this trip and it was ALL great. Went once with Jake and Linda and the kids and got appetizers (buy one get one free happy hour) so we had a BUFFET and then still had dinner.... it was sooooo good.

The half part of the dinner was the night before I was leaving. We were going to Gibi's for dinner Tues. night. I did a great snorkel with a friend and decided I HAD to have some of the wings !!! It was my last night, I figured I was allowed to eat twice. lol. So I had wings at Cactus Blue, and then went to Gibis for dinner and had the filet. All was yummy.

I even bought one of the tshirts from Corrina at Cactus Blue. I was very impressed with the whole thing ! I think they will make it. They have to, I have to have those wings again !!!

Kelly, since we stay at Divi and Cactus is on the way to town we will follow your advice and stop for Happy Hour(s). What are their Happy Hour times? We love good wings with a few cold Brights.

Cactus Blue was very good when we ate there. The happy hour is 5 to 7 every night. Moogie plays on Wednesdays. Since Amstel Bright isn't brewed on Curacao any longer, Balashi Beer from Aruba is becoming more popular. It is on draught at several places including Cactus Blue and the Ribs Factory.

George, since you're at Divi, you should also make a stop at Donna and Giorgio's. It is now located on the waterfront just north of the Dive Inn and it is a great place to watch the sunset.

You won't be disappointed in Cactus Blue. The wings are great, and there is a spinach/cheese/crab dip that is good, too. They serve tortilla chips and salsa right away instead of bread like the other restaurants and the salsa is VERY good.

I'll be interested to see what you think of it. It just might be my new favorite restaurant. Please tell Corinna that Kelly says hello! :-)

PS. At Divi, if you haven't done so before (and even if you have) make sure you do a dive or snorkel underneath the south pier. I saw all kinds of fun stuff there. I have a pic. of a red lipped blenny that is awesome and I will post it when I get time to download pics. I swear he was smiling at me. To get a good pic of him, go underneath the dock and come at him from underneath the dock looking out through the stairs -- he is on the steps.

Oh, and HAVE FUN !!!

Uh...how come we didn't get chips and salsa right away? Were we not dressed appropriately? I had on a skirt? Just curious...is this a happy hour thing?

I don't know if it's a happy hour thing or not... but I was there a total of three times and every time I/we got the chips and salsa. (they were free, like the bread at some places).

Man oh man were they tasty. I was there every time between 5 and 7 pm, so maybe just a happy hour thing? I don't know but it sure helped to make me happy ! ha!

I also had a very nice chat with one of Corinna's boys and darn it his name escapes me at the moment. Charming young man, though. He was telling me all about getting to dive with Ned DeLoach and his wife and how nice of a guy he is!!! He was a doll... wish Steph had been with me... lol

was dissappoionted yesterday. Went to try Cactus Blue for lunch and they were closed! I thought they had new hours but forgot to call first. I seldom go out for dinner since I work til 8 most nights. Of course I do make exceptions for Sushi...

Kelly, we are Divi "Old-Timers". We will visit for the 13th time in January. Last year Donna & Georgios was still under construction but they are on the top of our list. We snorkel under the South pier almost every day and many evenings. I don't remember seeing your "friend" but will look this year.

If you're down that end of town, you may also want to try Bambu. We had a surprisingly delightful meal there.

I'll second the recommendation for Bambu. It's only been around for 8 months.

It's near the end of the ocean road (one block before Donna and Georgio's). They have a three course dinner special for $25 . The ambience, service and food were all very good.

We love Cactus Blue. They have the best cocktails and the crab balls are our favorite appetizer. Great service too! Cathy has a tee shirt and we brought 2 back for our friends. We will be there in Dec. Can't wait to get back. Oh, and the diving is'nt bad either.

Looking forward to dining at Cactus Blue, many times, on our upcoming December trip! Always had great food and great service!
What a nice addition to the restaurant scene on Bonaire.

We too are looking forward to dining at Cactus Blue. Those crab balls sound too good to miss out on. See you in February.
