I know this place, maybe its called Little Havana Cigar Bar, has jazz some night of the week. Anyone know what night it is and if they have any food there or just drinks and cigars?

Gerry, I passed it several times my last trip and wondered about it! I just didn't have enough time to venture in and check it out. Maybe some of the local folks can give us some feedback?

The last time I went it was jazz on real records.

Very cool place. I was there one night and there was a dog sitting at the bar. Nice jazz, nice people and top shelf cigars.

Anton has a huge collection of Jazz records on vinyl and a top draw sound system. The bar has a feel of Hemmingways in cuba with all natural wood surrounds and ceiling fans.

In the corner you will find a specially made cigar cabinet which allows them to be stored at the correct temperature. He carries a stock of everything from Dutch & Dominican to finest Havanas.

On certain nights (check local posters) they hold "jam sessions" with Jazz musicians from all over the world.

They also have Amstel on draft. That's a good incentive right there. Yes, the place is pretty cool indeed.

IF Amstel is a dark, stout beer, then that would be enough for me, along with live jazz. I have a significant collection of my own, but do prefer it live. If it wasn't such a hassle to carry a horn around, I could be tempted to bring mine and join the jam session.

I believe that they have now ditched the Draught Amstel in favour of Belashi.

Best place to hang out in my opinion. It is owned by a Dutch gentelemen so this is where you will see a majority of the Dutch hang out. An added bonus is the female flight attendants from KLM like to hang out here as well.

I 'll be there.... I like a great cigar and some jazz in the evening. I've found Havana to be quite atmospheric. See you in October!
