Greetings-
We visited Bonaire about 5 years ago and had dinner in a home that was like a museum. I think it was called La Peron. We had goat stew and it was awesome- Does anyone know if it is still there ? Or does any one know if there is a recipe?

One of favorite places to go - It closed several years ago.

Wasn't that Mi Poron (my water jug?). I miss their kabrito stoba, too. And that lovely setting out in the garden.
I haven't been back to Bonaire since 2004, but back then it looked like someone was renovating the building. Has it become something new?

Yes to "Mi Poron" and no, building is still vacant and for sale.

Rose Inn in Rincon has FABULOUS kabritu stoba (goat stew) if it is on the menu for the day. Try it you'll love it.

You know who did the best goat on the island, back in the day? The Lisboa, where City Cafe is now. No bone bits, and a touch of wine in the sauce ... But that was many years ago, alas.
(Hello Freddie--yeah, I'm still lurking.)

About 5 years ago I had goat stew there as well and it was great. We would have went back the last couple of times if they would have been open.
