Sounds like the dock at Richard’s is the place for a special birthday dinner- any other recommendations?

Hey Melissa, If you do go there, tell Richard the skier from Jackson says Hi.

Melissa,

I was told that there is a rest, at Harbor Village that will put a table on the beach, lit by torch. That would be my 1st pick. Richards is ok but, it's not been updated in years, even the menu is the same. I hate caned string beans. But that's just my opinion. I'm a food and wine snob. I'm sure the other BT-ers will jump in here as well.

Is it for two or a group?

I am at Harbour Village as I write this, and I would go for dinner on the beach here! We had dinner on the beach the other night and it was wonderful. The food and service are excellent.

Bob and Lauren, you will love Harbour Village. The rooms are very comfortable, the staff and service excellent and the food very good, too. We are on the Lazy Days and Dreamy Nights package, and today was certainly a lazy day. We did do a two-stop snorkel with Renee this morning and she found a seahorse for us. She is amazing. We are snorkelers and the dive shop staff is excellent, too. We've gone out on the dive boat about four times so far. Bob, since you have a little more time, I can give you a little more detail once I get home. Right now, I'm using the Mac in the reception area. As far as restaurants go, we have eaten at Capriccio's twice (always excellent), Tropical Wil's, and Cactus Blue (which is new, excellent, and we're going back tomorrow night). I know there was one person who had a bad experience at Cactus Blue, which was unfortunate. If you're looking for fresh, healthy food, give it a try. They also have lots of tropical drinks. Weather has been perfect...not a drop of rain, but I think they could use a little. This is turning into a trip report. You are going to love Harbour Village. Both of you have great trips. I'm sure you will.
