So I love seafood. I could eat seafood day and night. I know I will get a lot of responses on this but really who makes the best seafood on the island?

I love what the chef does with the local seafood( and everything else) at Mona Lisa in town. Wonderfully presented and delicious.Check the black board in front when you pass thru town.

The sushi bar is good, but the service is a little sketchy. I sat there for twenty minutes after i ordered, and still hadnt gotten my Miso soup. On the other hand, the sushi/sashimi combo was good. Pieces were large, and although the fish was room temperature, it was great.

We too love sea food and have almost every night. Watch for the daily specials for they are usually the chef's personal best. Our 3 favorite places for sea food are; Richards, Wil's Grill, and Blue Moon for they are the most consistent. We have had wonderful sea food dinners at Zeesicht, Mona Lisa, La Flambouyant.

I think the places recommended are all great. My favorite is It Rains Fishes. For a fancy night out go to Richard's,they have one table out on the dock [that is very romantic},but you need to reserve it ahead of time . They only have one table a night out on the dock so you definitly have to call ahead to get it. Another couple places not mentioned are Lion's Den ,Cactus Blue ,and Vespucci [at Harbor Village]. I've had great fish at all of these places.

In addition to the fine choices above, Bistro de Paris does a lovely fish dish with artichokes and tomatoes. Swiss Chalet does lovely grouper but I hestitate to mention it as I understand it is an endangered fish?

We just returned from Bon and I can say only one thing, everyone had Wahoo (not much of anything else). It seemed to be everyones special. Not much great seafood anywhere. It kind of became a little joke for us when they came out to tell us the specials we would say Wahoo before they said anything (ha-ha).

We went to Salsa for the first time on Thursday for their new fishmarket. It was really great. They had maybe 20 different kinds of seafood(local fish as well as lobsters and langoustines) Yummy! It is a buffet style where you can choose your raw fish with the help of the chef. They also have a separate area of different seafood starters and a free salad bar. You pay by the gram for the fish, so it is a great way to try a little bit of everything or if there is something you are particularly fond of, you can get a great big piece. I heard they are doing it every Thursday now. We will definitely be back.
