Rookie Rob again, curious on asking those in the know if you had to pick from just 3 or the fab restaurants on the Island. What would they be?
I will be staying at the DIVI so closer to that resort would be preferred.
The catch... one of my gang is a non seafood eater so I can't go with an exclusively seafood restaurant... unless I guess we leave her back at the resort.

I love Wil's Grill (his wings and smoked marlin are to die for!), Lost Penguin (great chicken tenders, fish and chips, breakfast, etc.) and Richard's (great shrimp scampi and imaginative fresh fish) and Bistro de Paris (hmmm--Cobb salad for lunch and chocolate mousse that will blow your socks off!)

Rob, we too stay at Divi and walk to all restaurants. Our 3 favorites would be: Wil's Grill, Richards, and Croccantinos. Also, Casablanca for a real big meat eater, you will have left overs.

Gotta break mine into two lists of three:
Great moderate restaurants: Cappriccio's, Mona Lisa, Rum Runners
Great super bargains: Antriol Catering, Gibi's, BobbeJans

Cappriccio

It seems most places in Bonaire have non fish items on the menu even It Rains Fishes has many non fish choices.

Hard to pic just 3:-(

Pasa Bon Pizza - mod price
La Flambouyant - more on high end price
Swiss Chalet - mod price - the potatoes or whatever you call them are to die for!

But then it's really hard to choose 3! I have 2 new restaruants to try this next time and hopefully I can add more to my fav list:-)

I was in Bonaire last year and had a bad experience with Capriccio. I heard some good reviews so my BF and I went there for dinner. We did not have reservations and it was a busy night. We walked in and asked whether they had an available table (and would have been fine if they didn't). They told us to come back in some odd minutes...when we came back, the table was not ready...then the waitress took ages, literally ages, to greet us. The food was not very good and the service was worse. I felt that maybe since we look young and didn't drink, we got shotty service. I'm sure you can have a good experience there, but I didn't. I also wouldn't get the desserts again!

Most restaurants have ssslllowww service, especially when you want to get the check and pay..that was the biggest drawback. The best service we had was at Captain Don's on-site restaurant, Rum Runners.

The Rib Factory was fun, but a bit too chain-like. Most restaurants on the boardwalk are at least fun to sit at and enjoy the music and people.
