I'll be on Bonaire in 2 days with my girlfriend and I was wondering is there any place that makes lunches to go. We're going to spend a day snorkeling and laying around on Klein. So I wanted to have a surprise for her, a romantic picnic lunch. Does anyone have any info? Thanx.

For a truly amazing picnic I wonder if Annette at Last Bite can make up a basket? I will see if I can find her phone but otherwise, does anyone have it??

We got a lovely baguette with salad from the little cafe at the end of the gallery in town. They had pastries etc. so you might be able to organise something with them.

Hi Chris.

Yes, I've done beautiful picnic lunches (and breakfasts) for clients several times. Have even gone by dingy to deliver to a boat once for a surprise birthday gift :-)

Thanks Ann for thinking of me and Tom for suppling the ph. #.

Ayo,
Annette

Michael, Michael, Michael!!! Ohhhhh, the pain! LOL.

Good luck, Chris...sounds like it will be a wonderful day to remember. Find some shade over there, too...very hot, hot, hot. Carole

I believe Carol is gently trying to have you find some shade that no one else has found!!! Do talk to people down there about Klein: it is an uninhabited tropical desert island with almost no growth or water. Just plan ahead!!!

Annette, Do you have a bakery that is opened? We were there in Feb and had your chocolate cake at Pazza Bon and it was the best!! The next time we went, they said it wasn't delivered yet. We were very unhappy. We would like to know for the next time if you have a shop opened. Kent

Annette,
Arriving next week from Glenwood Springs. Will call you with some orders, I'm sure!! We love your quiche and desserts. I wish there was something from Glenwood that I could bring you.... China Town take-out just won't last for the long trip down! :-)

Hi Andrew.

Look forward to hearing from you in April. Yes, I do have a bakery - which I currently operate out of my home. By April that the "home" part will have changed, if all goes as scheduled.

See you then...

Annette

Hi Annette,
Do you do any thing smaller, for two people. It seems like your quiches were only large? And whole cakes? Or do I have that wrong? And we would be up for a picnic one day while we are there also. Sounds great. Do you have a price list online?

Hi Constance & Andrew.

Give a shout when on-island and I'll shoot down a selection for you.

Constance - at the moment only whole items (although I do small quiches as appetizers - about 3" round and very shallow / a couple or three of these per person might be nice....) No price list on line - yet.

Andrew - would love to chat / just ring when here.

Lots of great changes taking place in the next weeks so this will all be subject to those changes.

ayo for now,
A

Thanks Annette. We will be there on our Anniversary so it would be nice to have something special. Any suggestions?

Constance - when will you be here? Where will you be staying? A private chef experience is always nice. Otherwise, I'd need to know more about your tastes to offer suggestions - there are so many options / for instance on a picnic, would it be sandwiches vs. quiche, tropical fruit salad vs. potato salad / chocolate dipped strawberries vs. carrot cake ????

;-)
