In December I asked for your input about "Must Visit" retaurants. I just returned from a 2 week visit and visited 9 of the most often mentioned restaurants. I will try to give a brief overview and our costs.Costs include tax and tip. My wife and I usually had the catch of the day or the special. We had one drink and appetizers at all restaurants. Sometimes I had rum raisin ice cream for dessert.

Blue Moon - Not quite as good as in the past but still a good value. The pumpkin soup is superb. Cost was $54.

Casablanca - Great for meat lovers but only fair for fish. Large portions. $53.

Wil's Grill - Our new favorite restaurant. The sauted salmon was the best we ever had. Good service and wonderful art work too. $60.

Chibi-Chibi - Much improved over last year. The catch of the day was great. Also the goat cheese salad is excellent. - $48 - no drinks

Croccantino - Another new favorite. The best pure Italian food on the Island. True Tuscan cooking. $64

City Cafe - Fun place to eat with a very lively crowd. Their cheeseburgers are great and the appetizers are all good. Very reasonable and Happy Hour is still 2 for 1. $33 with 4 Brights.

Richards - The most consistent restaurant on the Island. Great views and very good service. The catch of the day is always good and the filet is probably the best. $66

Pasa Bon Pizza - Simply wonderful pizza. There were 4 of us and we had 2 different pizzas, one with pepperoni and the other with spicy suasage. With 8 beers and 4 salads the cost for 4 of us was $60.

Lost Penguin - Very nice breakfast menu and the American coffee is most welcome. $21 for breakfast for 2.

Tipsy Seagull - Lobster night is every Monday. The lobster dinner for 2 is the best option as it includes scallops and shrimp. It was good and the setting is superb. $62

Calabas - The breakfast is great for those with a big appetite. The french toast is wonderful. Also, omelets made to order. $15.70 per person.

Nice review! Thanks for the heads up on the American coffee. I love coffee, but I am a wuss when it comes to coffee outside of the US.

Have to agree with George. I would add that if you are looking for that "cheeseburger in Paradise" for lunch, the Lost Penguin is the place. Bring a big appetite.

Haven't visited one of the best if you haven't been to Mona Lisa.

George and all who have dined at Tipsy Seagull for lobster night. Tipsy Seagull is at the Plaza, correct? Is Lobster night on Mondays? You said it cost about $62? Are the lobsters/lobster tails stuffed with scallops and shrimp or does that come on the side? Do they have baked potatoes, fries, salad, etc? It sounds very yummy. Do you need a reservation and what time does it begin? Thanks. Swanee

Hi Swanee! Reservations are highly recommended at the Tipsy Seagull located on the Plaza Resort. I can't comment on the lobster itself, because we save our lobster dinner funds for Richards. However the one meal we had at the Tipsy was excellent and the view is spectacular!

Swanee, Tipsy Seagull has 4 different lobster options on their Lobster Night. None are stuffed and my recommended dish has a lobster tail with shrimp and scallops on the side. All are grilled. There are a number of good appetizers and also the usual side dishes. I would suggest reservations and ask for a table on the sand. The view is spectacular, but be sure to wear your mosquito repellant. This Lobster night is held on Mondays only and it is the only meal we have ever eaten at this restaurant.
