I will be starting a period of work experience at a bonaire food wholesaler in October. I will be in bonaire with 2 classmates and was wondering what the prices are like concerning food. I saw a lot on the prices of dining ( from10 - 40 dollars), but not much on supermarket food...

(cool spell checker!!)

Hi Adam.
Supermarket food here is not as varied as in Europe or the US. Fruit and Veg are at a premium and you have to shop around. It is unlikely here that you get the best deals and everything you want in one shop. Generally, prices are similar to Europe.
If you want to eat out cheaply, try the local snack bars. All offer mainly Chinese/Suranese and local food. You can eat well enough for 10 to 15 guilders.

to do the search go to the bottom of this page and click on Keyword search

I have seen single malt at the Bonaire Gift Shop, and I bet The Island Supplier has it too (of course not all the time, anywhere).

What I meant by "of course not all the time, anywhere" is that you cannot ever count on finding a particular item in a Bonaire store. Stores which ordinarily carry something might not have it when you are on island. They don't automatically reorder in time to always have items in stock.
Anything you MUST have, bring with you.
(I live here.) :-)

I have seen one or two common labels but my most recent visit was 2002. (Echoing Fiona here)

Now, Michael G. would likely have current knowledge.
