My husband and I along with two other couples are headed to Bonaire March 29th - April 5th. We are staying at the Lighthouse Beach Resort and wondered if the Easter weekend will be a cause for any of the resaurants to be closed. Any current suggestions regarding what to wear would also be a help.

Good thought. I did the easier thing and moved the thread over.

Sherry, most restaurants will be open over the Easter weekend. The ones most likely to be closed are those that cater almost exclusively to working locals (since regular business will be closed there will be very few working locals :-) ).

Friday, Sunday, and Monday, expect everything other than hotels and restaurants to be closed. And, as Customs employees appear to be on strike this week, there probably won't be any imported fresh produce or milk on the shelves Saturday :-(

The bright side is that apparently there are no customs officials checking incoming bags at the airport, so bring lots of gifts for people you know on Bonaire!
