Were flying to Bonaire in a week for a two week stay (can't wait). Last time we where over, the Penguin was closed for a week. I really hope they are open this time, or else I don't know what to eat for breakfast!

I've mailed them earlier but their vacation dates wasn't set then, and now I can't get an answer. Anyone at the island now who can tell me more?

Just got a mail from lovely Renota, and the will open on friday 16th.

Hmmm.... we land at 3 pm and about two hours later I will be eating a medium grilled Penguin Burger with bacon and gouda cheese. (Yes I am hungry right now...)

Donna & Giorgio's and it looks like Croccantino & It Rains Fishes are also closed (D&G usually closes each Sept for vacation); not sure how long the others are closed--it might have been only for the past week--so double check when you arrive. September, probably the slowest month of the year for tourism, is when many choose to vacation--since all of these restaurants are owner/operator businesses.

Why not try the breakfast buffet at Den Laman? I haven't been but have heard good things about it. I will check it out this week and let you all know!
