Casablanca is within walking distance and is great. Most of the restaurants are within walking distance except for the ones at the resorts to the north of town.

Kent...
The Mona Lisa on the main street (Kaya Grandi) in town is within walking distance from the Divi. There's a promenade along the water all the way from the Divi to town and the walk is lovely in the evening. The food and ambiance of the Mona Lisa have drawn my husband and I back time after time and year after year. Both owners, the chef, Douwe, and the bartender, Hans, are great guys. Douwe is a real professional chef. You can dine in the dining room selecting from their dinner menu or you can chose to dine in the bar where you can select usually three items at a lesser price but certainly not a lesser quality. The dining room menu is also available to you in the bar. Try not to miss a dinner at this fantastic restaurant. I can't say enough about it.
Carol

When you are at the airport, pick up the little Bonaire magazines. I think it is called Bonaire nights. There is a great fold out map of town showing you where restaurants and shops are located. Anything in town is in walking distance as well as Richards and the Plaza restaurants. Chez Lucilles is now located near Casablanca so you can get there too. We walk as far as BO bo Yans and Donna and Georgio's which is at the end of town. We aslo walk to the Swiss Chalet. Pasa Bon Pizza is a little too far for us to walk but we always seem to manage a ride there! You will love all the options of nice dining within a beautiful walk from the divi!

Kent -

South of the Divi, in addition to the Tipsy Seagull (go about 20 minutes before sunset to get a nice table right on the water) at the Plaza Resort, you might enjoy the Old Inn. It is across the road from the Plaza. We've enjoyed their Dutch items, especially the sate and have had some of the best service we have experienced on Bonaire.

You are not going to want for places to eat!

Buen provecho!

Kent, I have had some great meals at Divi's own Chibi Chibi. Of the places mentioned, Swiss Chalet and Croccatinos are on my "must do" list every trip, along with Gibi's of course.

Another place to consider is "It Rains Fishes".

As previously mentioned, you are very 'centrally' located in walking distance to alot of good restaurants, it just matters on what food you want and location (oceanfront or not). I just got back from staying at the Divi and all of the previously mentioned places are good, but I would second Richards (good food on oceanfront), Chibi Chibi (proximity and oceanfront) and Mona Lisa (fresh food at reasonable prices, along with a 'lively' bar to chat with locals).

The Old Inn has been sold, so not sure whether the previous quality--or even the menu--will remain.
Another option in town is Wil's Grill. Wil is a great chef, previously at LIghthouse. I love the way he prepares fish.
