Anyone know how to contact Richards? My sister-in-law is going to celebrate her 50th birthday there in November. I want to pick up the tab, but I can't seem to locate a web page or any other connection for them.

Charles, I can't help with how to do that, however I am celebrating my 1st anniversary there in October and can check on it for you then if you'd like. I would be happy to!

Charles.

E-mail me with the specifics and I'll speak to Richard for you - then will e-mail back with the answer.

:-) Annette

My sister-in-law, Cathy Wood, and her boy friend, Gary, will be dining there and would like to do it on her 50th birthday which coincides with Thanksgiving Thursday the 24th of November. My wife and I and a dear friend had dinner at the end of the pier on our last night in town back in April. It was a wonderful, unforgettable evening. I would like to see if there is some way that I can get either a gift certificate or something as my contribution to their evening at Richards. Thanks for your kind offer of assistance. Warm regards, Charlie email to cnash@techman.com

Charles.

I'll talk to Richard tonight or tomorrow and see what he'd like to do in the way of a gift certificate...and get back to you :-)

As an aside, I had what was probably "THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD" filet mignon at Richard's on my b'day this May. Argentine beef? Simply delicious.

We celebrated the last night of our trip at Richards, out on the private table on the end of the dock. The setting was very private and special, and having a walkie talkie to call for service(which wasn't necessary as they kept nice track of how we were doing) was fun. My husband really liked their ceviche(called marinated seafood appetizer). However, the wahoo was overdone, a bit tough with a disappointing sauce. The shrimp appetizer was nothing special. Their chocolate cake doesn't quite equal Wil's Tropical Grill's, and the key lime pie was nothing special. In our opinion Wil's Tropical Grill and Rum Runners have significantly better chefs.(see separate postings on them). Martha Rhoades

Oh Martha, I am so sorry to hear the food was overdone. We were there on Wednesday (8/10) celebrating an early b-day and everything was perfect. We had: escargot, shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, 3-lobsters, and the lava cake. On a good note for you...at least the three boys were not playing on the dock that were there when we were. Of course, no one was seated at the secluded table, but I found it odd that those boys were allowed to play down there.

I do have to concur with you about Wil's Tropical Grill. We also ate there and it surpassed Richards by far, with a lot less expense.

Still...very sorry to hear your special night was not perfect.
