went to chibi chibi at dive flamingo twice last week. First meal had Octrad as waiter, their employee of the year. Service was great, buffalo wings and shrimp were excellent. Mashed potatoes were some of the best we've ever eaten. We were very excited to go back again on Fathers Day. We were seated upstairs, and had an older lady as waitress. She was the absolute worst waitress we have ever had. No smile...often ignored us when we were talking to her. Took one full hour just to get our appetizers. When asked if there was a problem, she said there were other people eating as well. We checked, and yes there were 3 tables occupied, besides ours. As we left she was laughing with another waitress, as if this was all on purpose. I have a picture of her if you like so you can recognize her. If she is your waitress, GET UP AND LEAVE. Go to another area with another waitress, or come back another night. Chibi Chibi's provided the best meal we had in Bonaire, and then it provided the worst. The food it good, but the service can be at either extreme. Good luck.

I love the Chibi Chibi as well... my favorites are the shrimp caesar salad and the mushroom soup... mmmmm...

Maybe you could ask for the manager in such a situation and explain what is going on. Sometimes that helps. Sometimes even acknowleding what is going on helps too. A well placed, "wow you really seem to be busy tonite!" when they obviously aren't may help too.

On my last trip, I had dinner there. I was traveling alone, and was seated right on the water, watching the sunset and a large iguana. It was one of the most peaceful meals I've ever had, and yes, it did take probably an hour and a half total. I spoke a few words in the local language (which got smiles as I routinely butcher it), and all was good. Hope you have a better experience on try #3. (I KNOW you'll be back... hard to beat the food and view....)

Great, now I'm homesick for Bonaire. Wahhhhhh

You HAVE to try the KeyLime pie...it's not made on island but it IS to die for! Just a little tip for those of you who might be going to Chibi Chibi soon...Carole

Greetings All! We ate at Chibi Chibi three times on our last trip. All were excellent experiences, even on Thanksgiving! We discovered that all of the restaurants are slow, kind of like being in Europe where they expect you to keep your table all night. The slowest by far was at the Plaza. We recommend Chibi Chibi to all of our friends. I hope you will have a better experience next time. Cheers!
