Anyone know about specific restaurants with veggie burgers, meatfree pasta or rice dishes, mexican (beans or veggies), or just a good stirfry?
Also, I know someone out there has their favorite place to eat breakfast! My husband and I like the little whole-in-the-walls with good coffee! Please tell me about yours?!

The Garden Cafe (Lebanese) has several "no meat" options, and Swiss Chalet also has some Rosti meals without meat.

I like Cozzoli's (in the Harborfront Mall, right on the waterfront) for breakfast. Good coffee, nice location.

Faith and I are vegan, so a bit tougher than your needs...

Garden Cafe is one place we frequent. Raj is Lebanese, and is vegetarian.

Other places we've had great meals (generally after first calling ahead): De Tuin and Rendez Vous. We went to the Old Inn on one trip some time ago, and they made us good vegetarian food as well.

Rum Runners has several things on the menu that are vegetarian, and some that adapt well to vegan. The pizza is quite good (we get it without cheese, which they think is odd, but it's quite good).

In most places you need to ask.

I carry flash cards in 20 languages which say: "I am Vegan. I eat... I do not eat..." Without those, I would have a tough time on many trips.

Hi Jodi.

These are all great places. You might also try the Warijn Ketchab (spelled?) which is Indonesian (right across from Donna & Giorgio's). They have great tofu. :-)

That would be the Warung Ketjil, I believe, Annette :-)

Just go to the Lions Den, Captian Kirk will fix you anything. I am also a veggy. The cheese pizza's are also good at the place that has the stop sign out front, can't remember the name.

I am also a vegetarian and I liked " De Tuin" best. I you tell them you are a vegetarian they will make something especially for you what you like and can eat. The best is for me " De Tuin"
(in English: " The Garden")

Have a nice dinner!

Chantal

The City Cafe has veggie burgers on the menu. Look carefully under the burger section and you will see that their burgers come in beef, chicken and veggie. Can't vouch for the taste but the beef ones are great and our friends who are vegies found lots of other menu items there as well. There are also several items on the menu at Dock of the Bay ( Buddy Dive Rest) as well. Donna and Gorgieo (sp?) also have some very good vegie dishes. Just ask, most places are quite accommidating.
