Don't plan to go there with a large group and have seperate checks. We were told we had to have at least four people per check, when a couple of us complained we were told we could leave. Most stayed as it was a birthday party and enjoyed the meal very much. Would reccommend the rib-eye steak.

More than likely that was due to their upcoming move a few door up the road. We were there last week and the computer system had already been moved to the new restaurant. Our waiter (the owner's son) said we needed to have 4 people per check.... not a big deal considering the food and service was excellent.

Hey Greg - I had not heard Casablanca was moving!! Which direction - toward town - or away from town? On the same road? I will miss the cozy cramped dinners - it added to the charm of the place!!LOL!!

I love the atmosphere and food at Casa Blanca... but if they were to relocate to a waterfront property... oh my... I would eat there every night! Yummy! Cynde and I had many a romantic dinner there...

Details please !!

I believe they are moving next door; when we were there at Christmas they were working on the new building. It's on the same street, towards town, by a few feet!

Kelly darlin' Casablanca is moving just a couple hundred feet towards town on the same road, same side of the road.
Rick, isn't it horrible, going to popular restaurants that don't care if you stay or not? Personally, if I was going to have a big party at such a restaurant, I'd call ahead, let them know I was coming, and maybe even ask for a selection of fixed price meals with decent tip included. Or, I'd simply add a big tip and whack up the bill, the "salad eaters" offering the price per diner disparity up to the celebrants joy. Either way I'd call, everybody enjoys a bit of common courtesy.
IMHO I think it should be standard practice that separate checks for groups should include a 25% service charge, but I used to work in food. But hey, I want life to be easy.

Seb - I think I will stay away from you when you have a big knife in your hands!!! But it makes a great mental image!!LOL!!

Trip with Dirk was great - no trip report yet- I have been too busy to organize the pics. Maybe soon I can work on it - but that all depends on how busy my clients keep me!!
BTW - Dirk is hooked on diving after the trip and the best dives were east side dives we did with Bas!!!
