Does Anyone know if there is a Sushi restaurant on Bonaire? A Japanese place?
I am traveling to Bonaire for the first time this coming Feb. and myself as well as the members of my group love Sushi.

Zeezicht has a Japanese sushi chef. I saw the area and it looks charming. My client ate there (she is from NYC and is pretty particuliar) and liked it very much.

Let us know how it is..a review is in order.

:-)

There is a Sushi place that is going to be opening (if it hasn't already) across from Capriccio's. I believe that the owner for City Cafe is also the owner of this place. They were almost ready when we were there in Dec/Jan. Try it out and let us know.

Thanks so much for the input. Was it an expensive place? Also are there restaurants on the island that require men to wear long pants?

Mai Mai is where you should go - I dont know anywhere that requires men to wear long pants - but hey is it a such a struggle to take a pair (for everyone else's sake you understand).

Hey Mary,

Yes, that was the building. It looks like a two story Tiki Bar. ;-) And am glad that we were able to entertain. It was a shame that the current was ripping when we appeared underwater because everyone had on masks or hats or something funky but they wouldn't really stay on our heads - oh well.

We had dinner at the Imperial Sushi Bar & Restaurant last night again, and enjoyed it immensely. There was some confusion as to what we ordered and what was delivered, but it all got worked out.

The Flamingo Roll is excellent, the yellowtail a bit chewier than I would like, and they made a nice Spider Roll (they call it a makimono roll - made with soft-shell crab).

Jake

The miso soup was delicious..funky too..it was loaded with tofu and shrimp and some kind of pasta I think. I ordered the spicy tuna hand roll there was no dynamite sauce so it was bland. We head something with salmon..a little bland but artfully prepared..and really so much appreciated having sushi options in Bonaire. Man, the Wakami eel was FAB..
Oh we had edamame...I loved having it at Havana but will try the new restaurant soon..
