Isn't hummous mainly chickpeas? Those are pretty easy to find, at least the canned ones (goya I think)

The tahini (ground sesame seeds) is the hardest ingredient to find. Ann's recipe doesn't require it, but most hummus recipes do.

If I can add my two cents worth. The hummas I make has roasted the garlic. It adds a great flavour. No tahini in mine either.

There must be something else in the Garden Cafe recipe. The spread was a deep red color.

I think the Garden Cafe may just puree peeled roasted red peppers for theirs... Can't remember for sure, it's been a while since I had their red pepper spread. I do remember it was yummy, though!
