From previous dive trips to Bonaire I don't recall seeing many shore diving sites that have (above water) areas that are shaded where one can set gear and relax while waiting out a surface interval.

Lemmee see now... Karpata has some shaded areas although not much to sit on )pull up an iguana...), BOPEC has a little covered bench/table, Lac Cai has lots of covered space (best to dive there with a guide because of the currents and lowered viz), there is some scant shade under the palms at Pink Beach, there's a divi divi tree on one of the beaches just south of Pink... that's about it for shade - but really, we have seldom longed for shade - it's really not too hot and between repetitive dives it's good to warm up... you're in for a treat anyway you look at Bonaire...
