Kelly, Mags and I had dinner at Flamboyant last night. It was an enjoyable evening. The outdoor setting is peaceful. The wait staff were very attentive and were able to accommodate our time frame as Kelly needed to meet the AA flight.

Kelly and Mags had French Onion Soup. I tried it and thought it was great. Mags would have liked more cheese. I chose a stuffed calamari app. Really delicious.

I had the fish of the day (Grouper) in a lovely garlic sauce. The fish lay on a bed of spinach. Maggie had chicken with penne and a mango chutney. Kelly had a pasta and chicken dish...

The flavours were great. The presentation was beautiful. I felt the prices were reasonable.

I am not a dining review specialist but want to say this is wonderful newbie to the dining scene.

Ann, These review of Flamboyant are tempting me to once again visit that courtyard. I swore the restaurant formally located there off after two terrible meals in a row(I always give a place a second chance).

Thanks.

I agree with you, at the time the South American couple was running the Beefeater it was horrible.
Since a few months there are Belgian and Dutch couples and it changed completly

I got to meet Annie and Maggie too, in front of Lover's! (Of course I was picturing Maggie as a "little girl" all this time!) (Annie - I was with Marilyn) I only wish I could have gotten in more BT Time and connected more names and faces!

We had lunch last week at La Flamboyant, a new restaurant on Kaya Grandi that has been open only three months. It's just around the corner from the Cinnamon Art Gallery, in fact, someone in the gallery recommended it to us. It is excellent - two of us had chicken and two of us the peanut satay. Both meals were very good and the owner was very attentive and charming; she told us she grew up on Curacao. There had been torrential rains overnight so we didn't sit in the garden patio.
